Llanishen & Caerphilly Hockey Club Achieves Welsh Hockey Union Accreditation Scheme Level 1
On the 17th June Llanishen & Caerphilly were awarded their Level 1 (1 Stick) accreditation under the Welsh Hockey Accredited Clubs Scheme (WHAC Scheme). The purpose of the WHAC scheme is to assist the club to gain more members, develop better players through developing coaches/umpires, ensure the clubs good governance & organisation, show good Health & Safety considerations along with welfare, principles and practices. This all combines to an increased profile for the club being only the 3rd men’s club within South Wales to earn such a prestigious title. This was also extremely important to our up and coming youth teams as the accreditation helps advertise the club as a safe and secure environment for children.
